Background of the technology

The technology behind turning edible by product into high value products lies with REPROTEX. REPROTEX is not a food glue, nor plasma, or flour, but a special re-fibre product. This powder can be applied successfully to edible protein based by-products of food processing like meat, Soya, fish, and chicken. The meat by products, which can be transformed are shrimp shells, skins, bones, etc. Created with a separator the edible by-products or Mechanical De-boned Meat (MDM) is the base for our product development.

With REPROTEX the MDM obtains a bite and can be used for further processing into food products. In which case substantial more margin (profit) can be obtained from the same processed fish, chicken, meat etc. Compared to other products which are glues together with plasma the uniqueness of REPROTEX is the MDM gets a bite.
No other product can transform MDM in a product with bite.

Examples of products which can be made of restructured MDM with REPROTEX are sausages, rolls, turkey ham, cooked and not-cooked sausage, meat loaves, meat balls, meat for spaghetti or pizza’s toppings, salami, meat for soups, dumplings, egg rolls, fillings’ for taco’s, frankfurter, fish fingers, nuggets, and burgers..

Best demonstration of the advantage of REPROTEX is an example of an EU company. Separated meat of chicken was transformed in edible products -. Normally the waste would go to the pet-food industry. The company now makes meatballs, kebab, frankfurter sausages, fillings for ravioli and bratwurst of 100% meat and is no no pet food supplier anymore.

In addition it is possible is to use REPROTEX in replacing Soya isolate resulting in a 5% margin increase on cost price of products produced by Soya isolate.

Summarised the essential advantages of REPROTEX are:

An additional long-term benefit is with the same fish, cow or chicken more edible products can be obtained thus reducing the environmental stress of rearing, catching and waste overflow in the environment.
